Peering into the past with paintings by Mark Tennant
When I look back to the years between 2016 and 2022 it feels so much different. Back then I would literary scroll through Instagram and blogs for hours finding new art to share and would do about twelve different posts a day on Instagram. I would just repost works that sparked some emotion within me, that was it. I hope to reignite that feeling of sharing the art I love by doing that way of reposting on this blog. One of my favorite artists to share back then was Mark Tennant.
I previously wrote about Mark’s work which you can read here. For me Tennant’s paintings are like memories, they are just clear enough to get the basics of what’s happening but not as vivid as we would like. His paintings feel like snapshots of moments passed some mundane and some important but all meaningful in their own way.
