Jochen Mühlenbrinks approaches painting from a philosophical level. Bringing into question what is a reality. His new series of paintings obscure our view from what we want to see and make us fight to understand what is being presented. The paintings are fogged up much like the windows or mirror in your bathroom get, making everything behind the fog a mystery only slightly seen. Mühlenbrink creates childlike drawings in the fog which give us a glimpse into the image behind them. This gives the paintings almost two identities the one behind the fog and the drawing within the fog.
