Revolue releases two NFTs in Portion.io’s project “Portion street x Pop art”
Portion.io’s current project “Portion street x Pop art” is a week full of Pop art style NFT drops! The project is curated by renowned New York artist 1penemy and each day of the week a set of NFTs will be released by various artists.
“Portion’s Street x Pop Art Week is all about putting disruptive art forms back into the hands of real people and bringing together many of the world’s most provocative and exciting artists into one place. Five days, 16 artists, and thousands of street x pop art fans — with no boundaries, no rules, and no reservations.” (Via https://blog.portion.io/ )
One of Myartisreal’s close friend and frequent collaborator Revolue will be releasing two NFTs tomorrow on the last day of the project. What makes Revolues NFTs so special is the incorporation of physical works to go along with the digital asset. Yesterday we sat down with him to discuss his views on NFTs in the art market.
Jacob: What’s your view of NFTs in the art world?
Revolue: The NFTs can give the audience a deeper viewing experience because the artist has more creative tools at their disposable. It’s a different way to create so they can use digital stuffs that’s not available in the physical world
Jacob: How do you approach making an NFT vs your traditional paintings?
Revolue: I consider NFTs an extension of my works. It kind of “give life” to the printings and adds different layers that are not possible in the physical piece like movements, colors changing, effects, in and out motions. It’s like a brand new world after the physical. For me, it’s a new level of creating that would not be possible without computers and digital software.
