Josephine Relli traverses genres in her newly released music
Josephine Relli is a nineteen-year-old singer-songwriter. Born in Spokane Washington, and growing up in Minnesota and Portland, Relli was always drawn to music. From her music production and her delivery, you can tell she is an old soul.
Inspired early on by some of the greats, like Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and more — while also drawing inspiration from contemporary artists like Taylor Swift and Sam Smith — she released her first album titled “Miscellaneous” at the age of 16 and has now begun to focus on personal songwriting and production.
In her single “No 1” featuring rapper Kay-Ree we get a taste of Hip-hop, with Josephine changing up her traditional style and experimenting with new sounds and genres. Her song “Falling” goes back to the more singer-songwriter balled, while “Slow Down” blends this style with hip-hop.
Josephine has also appeared in the short film “Carmen” directed by Chloë Sevigny. Her taste for acting, modeling, and music is just the beginning as she sets out to immerse herself deeper into these new passions. She hopes to continue to grow her carrier and support the communities and causes she cares most about.
