Digital Paintings of female empowerment, a look at Kemi Mai
Kemi Mai, a young emerging artist from the United Kingdom has been creating works for many years now simply with photoshop and a tablet. Mai is completely self-taught and choices to use pixels instead of a paintbrush and the outcome is beautiful.
While Kemi’s works do feature some men the majority of the works have women subjects. Each work radiates a sense of female empowerment showcasing women of all races and cultural backgrounds. The backgrounds are minimal with solid colors, geometric shapes, and plant life while the softly drawn subjects are colored in a neon light style hue.
