What is your name and where are you from?

Hi, my name is Antonio Colomboni aka ScombinAnto and I’m from Milan, Italy.

How would you describe your art?

My art is a combination of pop, color and surreal moments.

How long have you been making art?

Since I was a child, one thing that made me feel good was to draw and invent parallel worlds

What tools do you use to create your illustrations?

I use different supports, drawing on paper, ipad, acrylic on canvas

Do you have any schooling for art or are you self taught?

self-taught and art school

Is there any experience, in particular, you feel that lead you to art?

the thing that brought me closer to art I don’t know exactly what it is, from a very young age it came very spontaneously as if I had already been born attracted to this world

Outside of making your art what are some other hobbies or things that interest you?

I have a lot of hobbies, music is for the first time, I really like listening to all genres of music, all those that communicate something to me.

Other hobbies are books and travels.

Do you make art full time or do you have another carrier?

I’m an art director and illustrator freelance, so the luck is that I can divide work times well with those related to my art

What are some of your future goals when it comes to your art journey?

I would love to bring my illustrations on canvas, to start painting and to get closer to the world of exhibitions

What was it like to work with Toilet Paper Magazine?

Currently, I work with them, as an art director, we are a very strong team, every project is always a new and stimulating thing

How do you get ideas flowing if you have a creative block?

when I have a creative block I try to disconnect from the computer and do anything offline, I watch a movie, I go for a walk in Milan, I call a friend around the world

What are some of your favorite movies or television shows?

I love all 80’s movies, and I have a passion for all Lynch movies

Are there any artists you would like to collaborate with in the future?

I would very much like to meet David Hockney, I respect him very much and it would be a dream for me

What does the statement “My art is real” mean to you?

in my opinion, doing the things that come from within, this is the definition, also taking inspiration from the grown-ups but reworking things through your identity

Is there anything you would like to tell our readers that you haven’t said already?

Enjoy!
